I'm not a professional. What I do have is over a decade of loving this game, and a genuine belief that British poker deserves better coverage than it's getting.
I started playing in 2012, during my first year at university. It was the usual story: a home game that got a bit out of hand. From there it turned into regular nights at Grosvenor Leeds Merrion, and later at Westgate, which has been my regular room ever since. I've always been a games person generally, but poker is the one that stuck.
These days I live in Grimsby and work as a software engineer, but I still make the trip back to Leeds a few times a month to play live.
I'm not in the scene. I'm a fan of it, and that's exactly why I think it's worth doing.
British poker has produced brilliant players and even better stories, and almost none of it gets told properly. The Felt is my attempt to fix that. Not as an insider with access, but as someone willing to go and find these conversations, sit down, and actually listen.
